Hear From Happy Students & Parents

  • "Thank you, Rachel, for helping me interview, write, and network effectively to achieve my goals."

I started working with Rachel in high school. I was always passionate about fashion and journalism, but my school did not offer many opportunities for me to get hands-on experience in either field. After working with Rachel for 3 months, I was accepted into FIT’s summer program for high schoolers and an internship with the publisher of the most widely circulated publication of its kind on Long Island. I went on to graduate from NYU while working at the world’s major fashion houses along the way. Thank you, Rachel, for helping me interview, write, and network effectively to achieve my goals.

  • "Rachel is there with you every step of the way, from selecting colleges to writing essays and filling out applications."

Rachel has been instrumental in helping my daughter apply and get accepted to Cornell University. She is extremely organized and knowledgeable in the college/graduate school application process. My daughter enjoyed every meeting and looked forward to her appointments. Rachel is there with you every step of the way, from selecting colleges to writing essays and filling out applications. She has become a caring, close friend. We look forward to working with her again as she assists us in medical school applications!

  • "She took genuine interest in my success."

I used Rachel a few years ago to help guide me through the college admissions process. Rachel was fantastic through every step of the way. We met once a week face-to-face to discuss the Common Application and Essays but talked on a daily basis.

Rachel is an expert on the process and is incredibly intelligent (she went to UPenn herself!). She knows what the Universities want to see and how to best portray their wants with your individual application. Additionally, she took genuine interest in my success.

Through the Early Decision wave, I was accepted into Vanderbilt and offered to interview for a full scholarship. Even after my acceptance, we continue to stay in touch and she remains a mentor in my life.

  • "When I need career and graduate school advice, Rachel is the first person I call."

Rachel is as genuine as she is kind and the single best college advisor I have ever met. Rachel’s care for her student is invigorating; it is uncommon to find someone as talented as Rachel devote herself so genuinely to her students’ success. I have sought Rachel’s advice and counsel every year since the age of 16 – when I need career and graduate school advice, Rachel is the first person I call. Thank you for helping me achieve more than I could have ever imagined!

  • "Our family is so grateful to have been recommended to Rachel for college advising services. "

Our family is so grateful to have been recommended to Rachel for college advising services. Her guidance, knowledge, support and understanding of this insane process were invaluable. When we began the college process for our daughter, we weren’t sure exactly where to start. Rachel helped every step of the way. She provided a list of schools that fit our daughter’s interests, reviewing essays and offering valuable feedback, and making herself available to listen and answer questions anytime we needed her. Excited to start this process again with Rachel for our younger daughter. We know we are in the best hands possible!

  • "We value Rachel so much she even helped one of our daughters with her graduate school applications! Look no further… time spent with Rachel isn’t merely having a college advisor, it’s making a lifelong friend. "

Rachel was incredible! She is patient, knowledgeable and adaptable. She welcomes questions, provides insights and truly explores the needs, wants and desires of each student as an individual. Rachel helped package both of my daughters in ways that depicted their strengths and honed in on their personal skills.

She relates well to both the teens and the parents. She understands everything from helping pick high school classes and clubs to wording and organizing their activities better than any resume found on LinkedIn. Most outstanding are Rachel’s keen organizational skills, editing expertise and genuine care for each student. Furthermore, she has a knack for making each student feel important and special. This is no easy feat. This is a critical time where our high school children need their egos soothed and their pressures addressed. She actually makes the sessions enjoyable!

We value Rachel so much she even helped one of our daughters with her graduate school applications! Look no further… time spent with Rachel isn’t merely having a college advisor, it’s making a lifelong friend.

  • " She comes to the table with vast insider knowledge on the colleges and what they expect and value."

Rachel is the most strategic, savvy and organized college counselor. She comes to the table with vast insider knowledge on the colleges and what they expect and value. She guides you every step of the way and provides invaluable straightforward feedback especially on essays. Rachel does not play around. She demands excellence from her students (and parents) and doesn’t settle for anything less. Tough love included! Our son was accepted early decision to The Wharton School and Rachel helped us package his application in a way that was compelling, authentic to him, and clearly made the intended impact on the admissions committee. 10/10 highly recommend!
